At some point in our lives, we have asked ourselves one or all of these questions. What matters most in life? What makes life worth living? What makes you happy? What makes you feel good? What makes you flourish? What are important life areas? What and who should government allocate resources to? This report addresses these questions by outlining the development of wellbeing indicators that are from the ground up, working with the Yawuru in Broome, Western Australia, thereby prioritising the voices and inputs of Indigenous women and men in the conception and measurement of wellbeing. The report uses a mixed methods approach to explore the wellbeing of Yawuru women and men through stories, as well as the Yawuru Wellbeing Survey, to paint a localised and multi-dimensional experience of wellbeing.
