Exploring Economic Prosperity for Aboriginal Peoples webinar 1-2pm, 15 October 2020
Thursday 8 October 2020

Hi everyone,

I’d like to draw your attention to a fantastic new webinar series that Aboriginal Affairs NSW has lined up, aimed at sharing and discussing the findings of their ongoing research agenda across government and community.

Starting on 15 October 2020, the first webinar focuses on economic prosperity for Aboriginal peoples. Supporting a positive, respectful and enduring relationship between Aboriginal peoples and the NSW Government requires a better understanding of Aboriginal standpoints, including the nature of Aboriginal economic prosperity.

Presenters will discuss how economic prosperity, economic development and wellbeing have been defined and influenced government policy approaches to economic development and wider discourse about Aboriginal peoples.

This study is part of AANSW’s research program to inform our work to transform relationships and make agreements.

The approach to this particular research is the same for all research from Aboriginal Affairs NSW – reflecting a desire for a new narrative in Aboriginal affairs and a commitment to embedding Aboriginal voices and perspectives into policy development and implementation.

More details are below but I hope you can join, and look out for more details of future sessions!

Thanks, Kate
