Alice Springs Public Library

The ‘Akaltye Antheme’ section has Indigenous-oriented books, magazines and the Indigi-links computer network. Additionally Aboriginal people are accessing computers in the children and youth section, the internet, wireless TV and Video/DVDs with headphones, wireless music system with headphones, books, magazines, children’s stories, pencils and paper.

Introductory:

In Alice Springs there are virtually no public access spaces where Aboriginal people can engage in informal personal, recreational, functional or informational reading and writing activities. In contrast, the Alice Springs Public Library has cultivated an Indigenous-friendly environment where people can access digital and textual resources.
