Ngaanyatjarra Media

Ngaanyatjarra Media

Over the last few years this has been extended to non-formal music recording workshops to teach local young musicians the GarageBand program, free software available on Macintosh computers. Now musicians like Chris Reid and Nathan Brown from the Alunytjuru Band are able to independently record and produce their own CDs and create the CD covers, with the oral texts translated and transcribed by young women like Natalie O’Toole. CDs are then advertised on the internet and distributed for sale in Aboriginal music retail outlets.
