Ms Nina Nichols is a PhD scholar at the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research whose place-based qualitative research focuses on understanding the role of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service in improving employment outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Nina completed her Honours Degree in Anthropology by thesis in 2004 and Masters in Development Studies by coursework in 2007 at The University of Sydney. She has ten years’ experience working in the Indigenous Health Sector, including eight years working as a health promotion practitioner for Apunipima Cape York Health Council, a community controlled health service that provides primary health care services for 11 remote and very remote communities in Cape York.
